B-ROLLER LITE
A fast, private way to triage a folder of video clips and pick your keepers.

WHAT IT DOES
B-Roller Lite opens a folder of videos and lets you preview, rate, and sort
them quickly. Each clip gets a poster thumbnail and a filmstrip of frames
across its timeline, so you can see what happens in a shot without scrubbing.
Play, rate, and mark the clips you want, then copy them into a Keepers folder
in one click. It also writes a small handoff file describing your picks that
other editing tools can read.

Everything happens on your own computer. No files are uploaded anywhere and
nothing needs an internet connection.

REQUIREMENTS
Desktop Chrome or Microsoft Edge. (Safari and Firefox do not support the
folder access this tool uses.) Most standard MP4, MOV, and WebM files play
fine. Some formats a browser cannot decode (often AVI, MKV, or certain HEVC
files) will be listed but marked "can't preview."

HOW TO USE
1. Double-click B-Roller Lite.html to open it in Chrome or Edge.
2. Click "Open video folder" and choose your folder of clips. Allow access
   when the browser asks.
3. Click a clip to preview it on the right, or use the keyboard to move fast.
4. Rate as you go. Your ratings save automatically into the folder, so they
are still there next time you open it.
5. When you are happy, click "Copy Keepers" to copy everything you marked
Keep into a new Keepers folder. Your originals are never changed.
